Who we are

The Friends of the Fern Ridge Library is an all volunteer 501c3 non-profit group that’s been
supporting the Fern Ridge Library for more than 30 years. We are dedicated to making the Fern Ridge Library an even better place for all in our community.​​
​

What we do

  • Maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries.
  • Advocate and raise money for our library.
  • Strengthen and expand library services.
  • ​Stimulate the use of the library facilities as a resource center for the community.

How we do it

  • Sponsor regular book sales to raise funds for library programs, such as the Summer Reading Program.
  • Buy materials to supplement the library’s collections.
  • Publicize the library’s activities and assist with visibility and outreach events.
  • Offer the Sandra Larson Memorial Scholarship annually, using funds donated for that purpose, to promising local students.

How You can help

  • Join the Friends! Your dues help support the Friends and library.
  • Attend our quarterly meetings and contribute new ideas. 
  • Buy books at our book sales. Members receive a free book! 
  • Donate books for our book sales.
  • Volunteer to help with a book sale or other opportunities. 
  • Bring a friend to a book sale.
